Valentina TRIFAN, associate professor and head of the Department  of Orthodontics,  State University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Nicolae Testemitanu”, Chisinau, Republic of Moldova. In 2002 defended her doctoral thesis in medical sciences with theme: “Diagnosis and treatment of dental inclusion”, was awarded the Laureate prize for the 2002 cycle of scientific works.  In 2014 finished her post-doctoral studies at State University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Nicolae Testemitanu”, with the theme:

“Complex approach to class III malocclusion according to dentition”. Also, had a lot of internship training at the UMF ”Gr.Popa”, department of pediatric dentistry, department  of orthodontics, Romania, Iasi-2002; University of North Carolina School of Dentistry, department of pediatric dentistry, 2006; ULBS Lucian Blaga,  Faculty of Medicine, department of prosthodontics and implantology, Romania, Sibiu-2011. Member of: Dentists Association from Republic of Moldova, World Federation of Orthodontics (WFO), 2003; American Association of Orthodontics (AAO), 2003; Romanian Association for Excellence in Orthodontics (AREO), 2006; European Orthodontic Society(EOS), 2012; European Association of Osseointegration (EAO), 2016. Member of the editorial team of national and international dental journals. Author of 2 textbooks, compendium, 3 lecture notes, 68 scientific works, 5 patents and 24 proposals for rationalization.
